I want to have a node in a totally different location (ip) then my panel. Is this possible and how? Or do I need to install wireguard or some other VPN?

Just install wings and add it as a node

Pterodactyl doesn't care where anything is, as long as everything can communicate

If you use SSL, there's no useful information to anything intercepted
Even then, the vast majority of traffic is directly the browser to wings. Not wings to the panel
