For this to work, you will need a clean server or VPS with nothing installed. If you are just getting started, I suggest using Ubuntu 18.04 or 20.04. Using another OS will only make things har...

I have found the following for: https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/1284929122493005945/1284929123227271279/image.png?ex=66e86aff&is=66e7197f&hm=9b781be87ed084eb8e88f5596bce0acb2c5e4d781ff40193eea8bdb07144de89&
No need to rush @neat dagger! It appears that you skipped a step during your Wings installation and didn't create a configuration file as instructed here https://pterodactyl.io/wings/1.0/installing.html#configure

i installed both at the same time so the bot won't fix this as it is showing me things from when the panel loads

That video uses a 1. A unofficial install script we don't support and 2. Is over 2 years old.

#

Wipe ur OS and use the official documentation instead.

neat dagger

i found that in the pterodactyl website btw but ok.
I will try again later on and follow this method

You are expected to understand how to read documentation to use this Panel. We have spent many hours detailing how to install or upgrade our software. Please, take some time and read rather than copy and pasting and then complaining when things do not work.

If you expect to be able to install this with no understanding of basic linux system administration you should stop and turn around now

i have got to php artisan p:environment:database

#

when i run the cmd is get

#

Connection refused [tcp://IP:port]

#

No errors since that

#

and i done it through the website

#

the node is online and everything is fine with it

rich flint
neat dagger
#

How do i do that ?

rich flint
#

By running the command I send...?

prime forge
#

And why does it say Connection refused [tcp://IP:port] instead of the actual IP address and port?

neat dagger
rich flint
#

I assumed to hide the localhost ip

prime forge
#

Likely they shoved their public IP in there and want to hide it

neat dagger
prime forge
#

What "actual ip" ?

rich flint
#

Well it shows 127.0.0.1 no?

#

Atleast it should lol

neat dagger
rich flint
#

It certainly shouldn't lol

prime forge
#

So you shoved your servers IP in as the redis host when you should have left it as default

rich flint
#

Unless you changed it when configuring redis

prime forge
#

And that's why it can't connect to redis

prime forge
rich flint
#

Yea.. although it does show a default.. usually means you would leave it there

rich flint
#

But I can get the confusion, although it's hard to know if they remove it when showing the error.. easier if they only remove it partially

neat dagger
#

Ok thank you

prime forge
#

usually when someone has hidden the redis IP, it's a good bet it's because they set it to their public IP.

#

Anyway fix that and you'll likely fix your issue

rich flint
#

Oh fair, that's good thinking lol

#

Yea fix it and make sure to restart redis afterwards (for good measure)

neat dagger
#

Also quick question when i “kill” the node how do i save the pterodactyl files

#

so if i was partway through the setup and i want to turn the node off

neat dagger
#

just keeping going to keep this thread open in case i have anymore issues

rich flint
neat dagger
#

So to turn the node off and have all pterodactyl data save (except for current online servers like minecraft)

rich flint
#

You don't "turn" the node off.. to remove the node, there can be no servers running on it. If you wanna keep the data of those servers, you would backup their individual volumes.

#

You are a bit vague in what you actually want.
