I recently purchased a dell r720 server that I wish to run a Minecraft server on, but I came across a bug. This bug resulted in me attempting to return the server. Instead of returning it, amazon refunded me my money and let me keep it. So I wish to fix this bug. I also am not sure how to set it up so that I can use it as a Minecraft server. The exact error is, "Invalid PCIe card found in the Internal Storage slot! System halted! If anyone knows how to fix this bug, or know how to use this server as a Minecraft server "I am not really sure", please let me know. I am willing to pay for help!

this bug shows in pterodactyl or in general ?
let me guess LSI SAS card?
Just on my r720 when I boot it up
this is quite common
Is it possible to fix?
yes it may be the sas card
is there anything connected via pci?
If I am not sure how to fix it completely and not most experienced, do you recommend I just bring it to best buy?
In this video, I show how to make an LSI IT mode firmware H200 work in the Dell PowerEdge R710's integrated storage PCIe slot by modifying the SBR.
If you would like to buy an H200 that is correctly flashed to work in the R710's integrated storage PCIe slot, you can find it here: http://ebay.to/2N6PCZT
I also have the greatest selection of IT ...
No. All I had plugged in was one power cable, and the monitor cable.
Ive seen this, I dont have another server to take it out to and configure it.
it would be in the server by default i would imagine
So should I go somewhere to get it fixed?
watch this vid it may help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0AEHVdc_go

also this isnt a pterodactyl issue
Like I said, I cant do this he takes it out and used another server to fix it which I dont have
if you have one like this try take it out and see if it boots
troubleshoot it
if it has that and you take it out you know its the issue
Is this something best buy will do? Im not too experienced with dedicated server hosting, and I dont want to mess anything up.
i have no idea tbh don't have a bestbuy in the uk and probs wont do it there i have no idea
its not hard to take a part out and turn something on
otherwise you will be charged for time it takes them to find the issue
i would find the issue example take the part out if its that then they wont charge as much
alright
its up to you but i wont be responding no more as this isnt a pterodactyl issue
I got the server for free so I am willing to spend some money to get it fixed (i saved 475) but Ill mess a little around with it and if it still doesnt work ill bring it to best buy
ok
Please report back and describe in detail the face the best buy people make when you drop a server on their desk. Bet many of them will have no idea what they're looking at
