Is the server on your local network?

Unfortunately, I don't understand rust, so I don't know much about it. I'm more into Minecraft. (My friend asked me to make one for him.)

Ok so first thing your using the wrong ip

#

And the default ports for rust are TCP: 28016, 28083 and UDP: 28015

honest spruce
#

This is set in server allocations

#

Also, make sure when changing the allocation, open these por

28015

#

Then 28016 is used for rcon or something

#

I should know lol I have a rust server 😂

ocean sinew
stable timber

Well, I don't really understand that anymore 😂

Just because I already use this for a proxy fund.

  1. Open the listed rust ports (port forward)
  2. Change the server allocation port to 28015
  3. Allocation IP should 9/10 times be local IP (private IP) and you connect through public IP
ocean sinew
#

ok to join rust the command is client.connect 78.46.39.249:28015 then

ocean sinew
stable timber
#

hmm nothing 😄

ocean sinew
stable timber
#

only because if I search for the ip it won't really show me.

honest spruce
#

It doesn’t need to be changed there…

stable timber
#

ohh i see

honest spruce
#

Allocation, the thing you created the server with

ocean sinew
honest spruce
#

Change it to <privateIP>:28015

honest spruce
#

How did you install the panel?

I'm already taking care of it, sorry.

ocean sinew
#

so it looks like this

stable timber
#

yes i did it.

#

I think we should prepare the server for this sport. am I correct?

honest spruce
#

Now assign the 28015 one for the allocation of your server

#

Make sure the allocation IP is the VPSs private IP

#

Then you connect through public IP

ocean sinew
#

^

stable timber
#

Yes, that's fine, I assigned the ip and port number to it.

ocean sinew
honest spruce
stable timber
#

You think so?

ocean sinew
ocean sinew
honest spruce
#

Yeah he needs to assign private IP 9 times out of 10

#

He connects via public

#

But he could try with public allocation

stable timber
#

Sorry if I don't know these or they are strange to me. Until now, I used my own domain address and almost didn't have to deal with it.

ocean sinew
stable timber
#

yeah

ocean sinew
#

you can use

stable timber
#

nono

ocean sinew
stable timber
#

Since I already tried this option, it didn't really allow it. Let's say I was stupid for not writing the port number there.

#

However, I have a question. Is it always this slow?

#

Is it just because I have a powerful machine that the rust starts so slowly?

ocean sinew
#

they are both the same ip

#

did you reboot the rust server?

stable timber
#

now the server is restarting. it's just slow which is strange to me.

ocean sinew
#

rust is always slow it uses alot of ram

stable timber
#

great, it works. thanks for the help.

ocean sinew
#

i see that your welcome

#

@honest sprucewe did it lol

stable timber
#

It will be the game of my life, I feel *Joke 😂

ocean sinew
#

@stable timberplease close this thread now its fixed

stable timber
