I have no idea. All I did was create rust and it set itself up.
Is this hosted on a machine you have at home or one you paid for online?
it is stored on its own server machine.
Where do you get this server from?
Unfortunately, I don't understand rust, so I don't know much about it. I'm more into Minecraft. (My friend asked me to make one for him.)
Hetzner hosting
Ok so first thing your using the wrong ip
And the default ports for rust are TCP: 28016, 28083 and UDP: 28015
This is set in server allocations
Also, make sure when changing the allocation, open these por
ts
Which one is for joining?
28015
Then 28016 is used for rcon or something
I should know lol I have a rust server 😂
Do you understand?
Well, I don't really understand that anymore 😂
Ok first we need your hetzner hosting ip
It's there, but doesn't it affect me if I run minecraft for this panel?
No it won’t affect Minecraft
Just because I already use this for a proxy fund.
- Open the listed rust ports (port forward)
- Change the server allocation port to 28015
- Allocation IP should 9/10 times be local IP (private IP) and you connect through public IP
ok to join rust the command is client.connect 78.46.39.249:28015 then
no this isnt right thats a port for minecraft not rust
hmm nothing 😄
please read what @honest spruce said above
^
only because if I search for the ip it won't really show me.
It doesn’t need to be changed there…
ohh i see
Allocation, the thing you created the server with
do you run Pterodactyl on your own or do you get someone else to do it? as it seems you are new
Change it to <privateIP>:28015
Better question is
How did you install the panel?
thats what im thinking lol
The problem is that I've never used Rust in my life (I just bought it because I wasn't interested), I'm making a server out of kindness, but I also know that it will be deleted, but I'm happy if I can learn. 🥺
With a script or?

I'm already taking care of it, sorry.
you need to do this
so it looks like this
Now assign the 28015 one for the allocation of your server
Make sure the allocation IP is the VPSs private IP
Then you connect through public IP
^
Yes, that's fine, I assigned the ip and port number to it.
make sure its like this
Is that the private IP of your VPS
You think so?
the 78.46.39.249 is public he has that pointed to a domain
ok just reboot the server
Yeah he needs to assign private IP 9 times out of 10
He connects via public
But he could try with public allocation
Sorry if I don't know these or they are strange to me. Until now, I used my own domain address and almost didn't have to deal with it.
yeah
nono
e.g. my minecraft server address is play.allayrpg.hu and the panel is panel.allayrpg.hu
?
Since I already tried this option, it didn't really allow it. Let's say I was stupid for not writing the port number there.
However, I have a question. Is it always this slow?
Is it just because I have a powerful machine that the rust starts so slowly?
now the server is restarting. it's just slow which is strange to me.
rust is always slow it uses alot of ram
great, it works. thanks for the help.
It will be the game of my life, I feel *Joke 😂
@stable timberplease close this thread now its fixed
I haven't even played it for 1 minute. But my friend will do it.
Ok, thank you very much for your help.❤️
u on rust?
yeah
thought so
