When the block is about the topple
The normal shifts to the rightmost edge of the cube
so if u balance torque about that point
The torque due to normal would be zero
Thats why they might hve neglected that

I understand there wouldn't be any torque by the normal if it originates from the corner, but isn't that assuming a different start position (just slightly tilted) than the actual one?
as we start tilting the Normal eventually gets shifted
Its the toppling condition na it has to topple about a edge of cube so only the edge should be in contact with the floor
