I'm losing like 10-20 marks min every test, I tried to improve my mental capability but can't stop doing dumb errors like "5040×2 = 1080" and just things like that, any advice?

keep a record of such errors and review them before giving a test (like the morning of the test wake up a lil more early and go thru this mistake log)

#

helped me not do the same mistakes (i still commit new ones)

How much time should I give to the

Reviewing the analysis before the test

i do more though, 20-25 marks per test

for me silly mistakes either happened when I didn't read the question properly and skipped words, or when my pen and brain were out of sync

#

for the first issue, stay awake and refreshed when giving the test and don't read questions on autopilot

#

it might be slower but that's better than losing marks innit

#

for the second issue, its often because I thought of the approach and then just turned my brain off when doing calculations, or when I was thinking of the next step while calculating the first step

#

you should be actively thinking about whatever you're writing and paying attention to it

#

if you're doing a multiplication, think of only that multiplication

Like skipping more steps on paper and doing them mentally

if you're doing calc mistakes on paper, it means you need to back up not go full throttle

#

go slower it's fine, speed will come with proficiency

Like I do things like 3x3=6 on paper

Hmm isee

you just end up going fast and sloppy

#

first develop more presence and awareness towards your calculations on paper

Yeah that makes sense

then when you feel you're good enough at it, do stuff mentally
