Acid would donate H+, which would attach to OH making OH2+, to form H2O, Oxygen break C-O Bond forming carbocation in option B, then ring expansion
bhai isko structure ke saath paper pe bhej sakte ho kya please 🙏
mujhse OC hawa me abhi nahi hoti
newb hu
ahhh i see i see
H2O good leaving group
thanks dude
ikr dude H2O so chill he just deadass leaves as soon as he exists
ahh i see i see
that makes sense
but
wont NH also form good leaving groups??
i remeber Hydrocarbons me somehwere to we have studied that NH ka koisa to hroup is a good leaving agen
Since oxygen is more Electronegative it should be a better leaving group
also, upon treatment with acid
is H2O the BEST leaving group then?
that makese sense
It is a good one, but not the best.
Like -OTs and stuff are the best leaving groups
the stronger the conjugate acid, the better the leaving group
iodine is a really good leaving group because HI is strong acid
fluorine, not so much because HF aint good acid
in the context of acidic reactions i mean
i see i see
hmmm make sense
@gilded nest verify?
or am i getting confused with nucleophilic reactions
Yeah man. Afaik weak base=good leaving group
makes sense
noted
thanks yall
