yep cuz reimer tiemann rxn is ortho slective. plus higher e density near O- of ortho due to strong I- and R+ can be one reason too ig
but I- se toh electron density decrease hogi at ortho
by R+ both para and ortho were the choices but due to the H bond ortho was preferred
