mains me toh nahi hi h kyunki optical instrument sab hata diya hai, toh parallax error ka mains me sawaal nahi banta, advanced me pichhle 2 decade me ray optics me se instrument pe 2 question aaya plus, parallax kabhi nahi pucha gaya so dekh lo bhai

parallax error is not in the syllabus of mains as optical instument parts have been removed, in advanced, in the past two decades, only 2 questions of optical instruments have been asked, and never once for parallax, so it isnt relevant, though for GK, just know what it is.

but answering your question, yes Units and dimensions is a high weightage topic (at least 1 question per paper) in JEE M and is pretty important for JEE adv as well

A small mistake many people make is that they dont know the weightage of topics and chapters wrt to JEE until the very end, so id sugegst you just check it out - but remember to study every chapter and concept well
