Why would you moderate chat when people are playing against someone of their own choice? If it's bothering the other half, then just leave the game and stop playing with them? I'm not really getting this part.

You can say whatever you want on your own private server but if we are officially hosting it then it needs to be at least somewhat moderated

An internal chat just runs too many risks and is too hard to moderate. Since you need to be in this server, or know someone in this server, to find games, we don't need a chat in the mod itself since we can use the Discord
which is then substantially easier to moderate
I like the idea of emotes, as that adds something a bit more unique and is mostly there for aesthetics and a laugh
but a chat function is not needed currently and won't be for a while (only when you can physically queue for games in the mod), and right now it's just going to be far more of a pain than it's worth

would you need to implement moderation in a two person lobby? I get that it's run on official servers but lets say worst case senario someone says something nasty, wouldn't it be there and gone? Plus with a profanity filter then it's not much of an issue imo. I'm thinking dead by daylight endgame chat as a worst case scenario if you know what that looks like.
