in china for example there are literally hundreds of diff handheld pc models that don't even make it out of china.
even outside of china, its not the easiest thing to get stock of on a lot of the better handheld pc models from retailers. a lot of the time people buying them are stuck waiting a bit for them to actually get stock

same time there are literally soo many models of handheld pcs that people can just buy the specific model they want they are effectively just laptops in a diff form factor. and like unless u buying a newer model for a new chip or something, once u have one, ur not really gonna buy another.

you would be suprised how good the battery life is on these devices.
its more so on what games they are playing and what settings they are doing them at.

I've had a steamdeck since release back in 2022 (mine was in second batch shipment they ever sent out) and some games i've had up to 4-6 hours of battery
while some games i have around 2hours.

it really depends on game.
keep in mind switch and switch 2 battery situation is quite similar.
steamdeck oled has much better battery than base steamdeck
and other pc handhelds have much larget batteries to help to.

its really just dependent on the device and game ur playing

that said ever since i got my steamdeck, it effectively replaced my use for my switch.

I don't use my switch anymore since my steamdeck plays all the stuff i used my switch for much better
