#Azahar taking up more data than intended?

It seems azahar is taking up more space than it probably should be.

#

regular azahar_log is empty

#

the "old" log contains all the info

but i suspect you already have quiet a few games installed and they are all counted

#

my games for example already amount to around 200 GB

#

(reality is 100GB or a bit more tho)

smoky folio
#

that's my roms folder

sterile musk
#

and your user or appdata folder of azahar?

proud sapphire
#

Mods also take up space too, system files does too, basically everything

sterile musk
#

and texture packs

#

those take up an absurd amount of space lol

smoky folio
#

i dont have any texture packs on 3ds

sterile musk
#

was just an example

#

point is
everything you do with azahar (system files, games installed as .cia, updates dlc and other stuff) will take up space

#

even the shader cache

# smoky folio

thats not the folder i meant
go to appdata/roaming/azahar and look at those properties

#

oh wait that is it

#

nvmd

#

do you have set up an user folder next to azahar?

#

since that looks awfully small

smoky folio
#

i usually have it inside my emu folder in my documents

sterile musk
smoky folio
#

as in this?

sterile musk
#

yeah
doesnt look like it
weird

smoky folio
#

i used to have an older version of azahar but then updated to a new one

sterile musk
#

can you send the other log
the "old" one

smoky folio
#

i think i installed the msys2 version accidentally in the emu folder and then deleted it since it didnt seem right

#

i had it deleted and then brought it back from the recycling bin

sterile musk
#

just send the entire log as is
a snippet is never really useful

smoky folio
#

that's it

#

nothing else

sterile musk
#

then you only started the emulator
hmm i guess it doesnt really log space stuff

maybe you have somehow multiple azahar.exes somewhere from older builds
maybe in the downloads folder and windows counts it
or its just windows being windows

smoky folio
#

i dont know if it was because i ran the msys2 version and then deleted the files from that just not properly or something

sterile musk
#

unlikely
i was told one can change as one wants between the two

#

but smth is quirky there

sterile musk
smoky folio
#

system storage

#

i looked up storage settings in windows

zinc pilot
#

don't trust the value shown in the app list in settings, it is written to the registry during installation (and most probably not updated after) so it probably got corrupted somehow. What really matters is the user folder and your rom folder, and everything appears to be ok

sterile musk
#

hmmm
i guess my system cant see azahar because it lives on another drive lol

zinc pilot
smoky folio
#

it was by far the largest in size so i thought something was up

sterile musk
#

brb

no clue then
maybe windows sums up all installations?
so it adds up over time

smoky folio
#

thanks for the help folks

zinc pilot
#

in this case a number shift (like a missed zero) sounds very likely

ok im checking with treesize now

#

anywhere in particular i should check

zinc pilot
#

i don't know, you can just put your whole drive
