Im playing on a Steam Deck, all roms I got are loaded in the SD Card (Maybe is relevant)
Idk why im suffering stuttering when playing a game, sometimes I even see how the assets are loaded on screen (they just pop) maybe is the shader cashe but how the shader cache load slower than Switch or Wii U emulation where I don't got any Stuttering?

what game

humble brook
#

I tested in Kirby Robobot Planet and Zelda Ocarina of Time

#

both game stutters a lot

#

at the start

#

i tried the "Disable Right Eye Rendering" option in Graphics but at least for Zelda the game don't work with that option

#

it don't load anything, black screen

What renderer

humble brook

Vulkan

#

2x Native Resolution

jolly venture
#

Did you try on native resolution

humble brook
#

No, i could try

#

but maybe 1x is too low

humble brook
#

big stutters and items popping

Send a screenshot of your settings

i think its shader cache, but still

jolly venture
#

disable accurate multiplication

jolly venture
#

Did it work?

humble brook
#

its not more dramatic

#

but the popping still there sometimes

#

why deactivating that option that say "deactivate this option may cause less performance in most applications" should work? idk

#

but i think it did work

The pop in is probably caused by async shader compilation, objects won't render while their shaders are being compiled

#

And if you updated azahar from a previous version then the old shader cache may have been invalidated

Yeah, will replace the pop ins with stutters instead

#

If you want you could use OpenGL, that will stutter too, but the shader cache will be actual compiled shaders as opposed to vulkan's cached instructions to make shader compilation way faster, tho I think vulkan should be fine

humble brook
#

well I hope the shader cache streaming gets better over time... maybe in a normal desktop PC stutter is non perceptible so its not a real problem.

#

well thank you for the help guys

fierce jasper
#

No it's there, every shader compile is perceptable on all devices, only the first time tho

You do get those stutters on switch for sure, you prob just don't notice

#

Or you have a built cache

I've had times on switch emus taking a solid 2 or 3 seconds to compile shaders, if not 15 when compiling a whole new scene

#

Like I loaded on splatoon 3 for the first time and damn

humble brook
#

with every release they emphasize on shader cache compilation

#

and cemu its just too good

fierce jasper
#

Yeah no experience on cemu, don't got games for it

humble brook
#

anyways man, thank you!

#

for the help

have a nice night/day whatever
