I want to be able to redownload my eShop games, but I have no clue what my NNID log in info is, since it was over a decade ago, and the Setup Tool transferred basically everything EXCEPT that data. I tried asking in the Homebrew discord server since they've helped me dump uncommon files before, only response I got is "contact Nintendo", but I've tried that before for a different NNID and they couldn't do anything. So I'm wondering if anyone knows how to dump the data, I figure it'll work since Azahar has all my other console unique data.
#Can you export NNID data from 3DS to Azahar?

You can get a temporary password to the email linked to the NN account, it'll be active for I think 24 hours, at which point in your console you'll be able to use that temporary password to change the actual password
Again, the account was made over a decade ago. I don’t have either the email or password.
Then you're probably out of luck unless Nintendo support can pull a miracle for you
But why? Why can't I just dump the file storing the info that's already on my 3DS and put it on Azahar? The emulator already dumped all my other system files, what's different here?
if you're lucky enough to link it to the mynintendo account you can ask nintendo to just change it by shooting an email at their support with that email you use to login with, they'll ask your last 3 purchased items from the eshop you remember and they'll figure something out
but since you don't have the email (i don't think nnid even uses emails)
I'm not a tech wizard, but my main understanding is that it's an online service that was hosted by Nintendo and is now defunct by them, it's not something local you can just dump from your own device. Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I think the difference is
you're out of luck unless you somehow manage to convince them that you have access to the account from the 3ds
I can boot up my Wii U quickly and confirm this for you, I still have an account logged into my NNID lol
I mean maybe, but it's not like I'm logged out on my actual 3DS, I've never been logged out from it before so surely something is being stored to authenticate it. And Azahar has dumped basically every other unique system file tied to my device, so I'm sure with the file with NNID it would be able to authenticate too.
It's not a big deal, I don't need it, I can just dump games on my 3DS and transfer them manually, but Azahar promotes eShop redownloading as a feature so I'd much rather just do it that way.
Yeah, it's just a weird situation you're in all around. Hope you can figure out something
if you're willing to do some weird hacks feel free to see this godmode9 script (i never did it but hey it could work)
https://github.com/annson24/GM9Megascript/blob/2b5bff9f3ea49bed35f8a94e567c6345f25bc9db/GM9Megascript.gm9#L681
and manually inject this to the system folder of azahar
Looking at the script, it does dump the correct file, but it doesn't seem to decrypt it, so Azahar can't use this. You'd need to decrypt this first
There's some tools for PC that do the job, 3ds-save-tool comes to mind. However, this would only be good enough to see what email the NNID used, IIRC you can't change the password from the 3DS settings without knowing your previous password already, but having an email is a start
