you use artic set up tool with your console and the setting in the emulator
for games you use gm9 to dump your owned games

you dont need to find any extra files
the set up tool will make sure to dump all thats necesary

sometimes it needs that to refresh

bricking a 3ds seems like a veeeeeery hard thing to do
so dont worry too much, still is smart to follow guides better if they are written
