#problem launching citra

You need the most current MSVC from 2015-2024 for the MSVC version.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170#visual-studio-2015-2017-2019-and-2022
I recommend using the MSYS2 build tho.
You don't need to install anything.
Yes
I try that and i tell you
its already install
it's write repair ou uninstall
(not respond)
It's an older version of Citra, it seems. Try switching to PabloMK7's Citra fork or Lime3DS. (Try the Msys2 build)
https://github.com/PabloMK7/citra/releases
https://github.com/Lime3DS/lime3ds-archive/releases
These are the best Citra forks and the projects that are merging together into Azahar.
"citra-qt.exe" will launch Citra, "lime3ds.exe" will launch Lime3DS.
ok, same problem with pablomk7 citra
and with lime3ds again
same for the msys and msys2
@river flicker
i have try all of that and the same result
Then it's an issue with your PC hardware, not enough RAM available to run. Try closing all other Programs when running Lime3DS. Web Browser, Steam, Office, Discord. Anything.
32go ram availlble
Run this and post a screenshot of the results
i try with no program
hum ok i do that !
yo !
bro thanks you so mutch !!!
is it works !
my english is not too bad ?
As far as an observer like me is concerned it's good enough to be understood, sometimes you need the rest of the messages to be understood because of grammar or orthographic mistakes, hey nothing that duolinguo or learning over time can't fix! If you have English classes (if you are young enough) listen to them they could actually have something good to teach you.
I'm French too
Update the Graphics Card Drivers, that will fix or install the Vulkan Drivers.
Some native English speakers will give you better advices at learning English than me though
I can actually read French, so I actually understood the Screenshots.
That's pretty cool, whats your main language?
I'm not in school anymore, I'm not that young...
I still took the trouble to translate just in case
Who knew, not me! Jokes aside i'm still young enough to be in uni so i couldn't really know. That means DUOLINGO TIME!
Someone could just have walked in there and say about the French words : what is this abomination i can't understand so i can't help
American English. I taught myself to Read European French as well as Canadian French. I can also speak French with a Canadian Accent. (My Ancestors came to America from Montréal, Quebec.)
So you understand it spoken then, so if you can, don't hesitate to watch a series of movies called don camillo, they are old but really funny (fun fact the guy who made the dialogs was a pretty well known writer that well written a dystopia called ravage (maybe it has another name in English but I'm not sure) .
It's also recommended to install the Microsoft .Net Framework.
https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework
Sometimes the Emulator requires Microsoft .Net to run.
Uh, I don't believe that we do use .NET?
It's optional of course, someone on the Citra Sub reddit, said that it helped when I recommended it. I just thought that I would mention it here, as well.
Many people don't realize, as it's probably installed already, by another game.
We do use the MSVC redistrib, are you sure you aren't thinking of that?
I'm just saying that it doesn't hurt to have.
I already know about that, I'm just saying that .Net could also help in addition to MSVC.
But, in essence it's better to run Msys2 instead of MSVC.
Here's the Reddit post, that I was referencing: https://www.reddit.com/r/Citra/s/D8t14hLPrS
I don't see how installing the .NET framework helped, as none of the code used uses C# - most likely the person is confused between the two
¯_(ツ)_/¯
We don't use .net in any capacity, installing it will do nothing
I prefer the Msys2 build anyway, personally. I Don't even know why there is even a MSVC build? Wouldn't it make sense to only have the Msys2 build if it doesn't require anything to be installed to run?
