#Suggestion for Improvement: Balancing Sun Scroll and Runic Blueprint Generation

Currently, in the Engineering system, crafting Sun Scrolls requires 10 Runic Blueprints. At the moment, this conversion is working, but it is already close to the practical limit of Runic generation.

Right now, I can generate around 164 Runics per hour, while my Sun Scroll generation is around 14 per hour. However, increasing Sun Scroll production is relatively easy by supplying more wood and ore, which means it can quickly surpass the current Runic generation capacity.

On the other hand, increasing Runic production any further becomes extremely inefficient. It is still possible to push it a bit higher, maybe around 175/h, but the material and gold costs become unreasonable very quickly.

My concern is not the current situation, but the future progression of the game.

Once the last 4 mobs from Act 3 are released, along with the material-based upgrade system, Sun Scroll generation will likely increase significantly. As a result, the demand and consumption of Runic Blueprints will also increase considerably.

I believe this is something worth evaluating in advance. Right now, it is not a major issue yet, but I think the balance should be reviewed before this next stage of progression arrives.

I think it was meant to be this way. The pause buttons are there for a reason, you have to make choices

I know it is possible to pause the production, but my point is that the system should ideally be able to sustain the generation chain naturally, even if the previous resource ends up at 0/h (meaning the production equals the consumption).

The concern is that with the upcoming updates, the proportions will no longer stay balanced. Players will be able to upgrade production much further, and Sun Scroll generation will scale faster than Runic Blueprint generation, eventually making the whole production chain unsustainable and inefficient.

If Nightmare mode comes before the end of Act 3, then my argument may become invalid, because having access to more base materials from Act 1 and 2 resources would already make the upgrade system functional.

However, if the end of Act 3 comes first, the Sun Scroll cost will very easily surpass Runic Blueprint generation, making it impossible to sustain enough production.

I’m just pointing out a potential balance concern for future updates.

Try build full gold, and max kph act 2 hard, act 2 have bonefire bonus so its the act where you can farm the most ressources and gold. btw runic Scroll doesnt have "neccesary" Infinite lvl(only exp pet) si if you get 0 runic Scroll isnt a problem Big problem. And upprgades from Sun Scroll are realy cheap (gold start from 1). Pause button if you wanna max blue or Idea some times. And ofc difficulty will make snowball again runic Scroll due ton bonefire again.

its not about running out of runic scrolls , its that the sun scroll upgrades are useless Beyond a certain point since youll not be able to craft that many as it lets you due to the shortage of runics which should not be bottleneck that decides how many sun scrolls u can make unless you're seriously behind in upgrades, i dont think you should need all runic upgrades at 300, to sustain sun scroll that has production upgrades at 50.

( Those are random ahh numbers but this is the current issue this post is talking about )

The discrepancy is too high if for every 1 sunscroll production upgrade you need 3-5 runic production upgrades, at some point youll need to stay and mine thorium 5 days to actually make use of the upgrade that took 1 day of mining sunstone
