Hi, Hi,
Can someone try to reproduce pls?

insert instrument track (empty)
arm empty track and record short clip in session view via master midi controller
play recorded clip with some notes
start recording played clip from session view to arranger with WriteAutomation enabled

Now I am expecting that touched parameters on my master midi keyboard will be occurred as new automate lines. This not happening. Despite tried lot of settings in Bitwig. New lines will appears only when they are mixer or remote controls only, but midi cc sent by my controller are ignored.

Definitely a bug. I also sent in a bug report. The only workaround I see for now is to map your midi cc to whatever soft synth parameters you are trying to control. It does record mapped midi cc as expected. Not ideal, I know, but at least there is a workaround.

I got a response back saying this is not a bug and by design. Basically midi CC is treated as midi data, and midi data is only captured when the record button or overdub mode is selected. The automation record button is only for software parameters. I guess the workaround of mapping to your desired parameter is the only way forward.

From Bitwig: Midi CC is Midi data and therefore handled as such, just like Midi notes. Recording Midi data requires using the recording or overdub function.
Automation recording on the other hand only handles parameter automation and is being recorded using the automation write functions.

That's a shame. But it makes sense. I'll be forced to create presets with remote controllers for Arturia synths. But hey, it can be done.
