Hey dear Bitwig People, how would i achieve similar awesome madness in Bitwig? 🙂 https://youtu.be/ag0wsDFaFGE?si=mKxoHNKlEiqRgVTa&t=101 I'm specifically talking about minute 1:40 , where you can listen that the synth is modulated/excited via audio in. I'm highly interested in your ideas concerning modulating/exciting this way a) ANY synth (even VSTs like Sylenth1, Serum, Omnisphere ...) b) Bitwig synths in the grid. I'm still too bad with the grid and don't even know how i would make use of Polaritys Objekt-like-synth (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_8zf0QRd6Q), and use 'audio in' as a Exciter source which leads to enjoyable results like you see in the beardyman video. Yes in other words, i should learn the grid better, haha. As a grid-newbie, any help concerning the basic idea of how to build beardyman like audio-in-synth-modulation will be greatly appreciated.

while you can apply audio-rate modulator on any plugin, the modulation rate will be severely limited for plugins, so it's definitely not usable as way to implement exciter. only if plugin have sidechain input and internal modulation routing capabilities in first place

generally to build physical modelling type of synths in Grid, you need to research schematics on general approaches regardless of environment it's done in, then figure out how to apply that using available modules

Polarity have some examples. I have made one experimental 'Stringify' resynthesis patch too here #your-presets message

There are also a couple other physical modeled synths that allow audio in to excite their resonators. I think Objekt is particularly impressive. I would buy it immediately if they released a VST/CLAP version.

I guess they will eventually release it as a VST/CLAP/AU plugin. Maybe in a few years... hehehe

Maybe reason 13 will propose a lite free version of the reason rack. That would be the best.

But to be honest, Objekt is a pure beast. They killed the competition with this one.
