#Help me with crashed plugins? in 5.0 Beta6

Have you solved this? My only suggestion is to temporarily disable all plugins...
And if you may want to copy all tracks content in a new project, disabling devices..
Nope but there has to be a better way. Would be great to know which ones are failing init. And also if a plugin is missing it would be great to do a replacement and reassign parameters
Disable all plugins means that you can start the project, disable all plugins in the project and save again, re-enable all plugins for the application and then reactivate one by one. Of course it means save and recall each time you add one plugin...
To check which one didn't init, simply check which is still "running the rolling dots" and didn't complete the loading phase. As simple as that... Actually you should have the possibility of terminate the plugin sandbox if you select a different sandbox for each vendor or for plugin, or even individually...
Which sandbox mode are you currently using? In case you don't understand my unprecise terminology, it's in the settings page, "Plugin hosting mode"
And the suggestion to copy all track content is because I guess you don't have a backup, maybe saved with a previous non beta version.
I do I think it was from a non beta version opening in the beta
Oh, so you might open in v4 and simply disable all plugins in the project, instead of disabling for the application... This is much easier
sorry... disable is the wrong term... I mean deactivate...
then you reactivate one by one
Anyway no, there is no better way. You can't currently substitute plugins, nor copy parameters. You can't either substitute a VST3 with the same plugin as CLAP or VST2 or viceversa.
You would think there would be a way to match parameters?
Or is it like a strange save state for video game
I don't have enough information to answer. For what I have seen, there is no warranty of correspondence about parameters naming neither in different versions of the same plugin, don't even talk about values correspondence. One might think about making a controller script, or something like that, to support this operation, asking for user intervention to confirm, but there are not warranties it can always be done, I believe.
