How is the extra damage from frostbite calculated?

For example, if I'm using howling wall and it repeats four times like it says, does it actually cause four damage instances that proc frostbite on every instance or does it add all of them together and only count as one instance of damage? Sorry if my questions are stupid I just have so many lmao

Also related to Howling Wall, do the repeat thresholds go 2-7-12-17 or 2-7-19-33?

I feel like the wording could be either taken as every 5 more gale repeats 1 more time or it repeats at 5+(total gale needed for the last repeat)

I'm assuming the latter but it would be good to know for sure

When I tested this with the Lightning Palm Technique ("repeating at 6 thunder with each further repeating requiring 3 more") it increased the interval of the total for each additional repeat. Example below:

1 repeat: 6 Thunder stacks
2 repeat: 15 Thunder Stacks 6+9 or ( Previous repeat stacks + ((Base stack required + ((repeat#-1)*3))
3 repeat: 27 Stacks
(6+9+12)
9 repeats: 162 (6+9+12+15+18+21+24+27+30)

Example Proof see screenshot. You can see that at the time of use, we have 194 stacks of thunder. We can see this by looking at the thunder stacks at 196 after adding 2 after. Which gives us 9 repeats + 1 core use for 10 total uses. (You can also tell how many repeats there are easily by seeing we gain 10 flow for the 10 uses)
