I entered the garage for the first time. Made a can of black metallic paint. The can was silver, like it's supposed to be. My cars didn't spawn so I went back to my regular playthrough to fix it. Once I came back to garage my cars were there, but the can of metallic paint i made turned matte and now all metallic cans i try to make are matte. Anybody know how to fix this?
#Garage doesn't make metallic paint anymore.

How are you discerning mate from metallic? DO you have screenshot of cans in question?
Painted car and the can (matte has white can. Metallic has silver shiny can)
Cant send photos atm, will after wotk
Metallic paints no longer have the darker cans. They're now differentiated by a silver rim at the base of the can, with the 'matte' (should really be called 'solid' as it still polishes up to a shine) having a white base.
You do have to remember to re-apply the metallic toggle for each paint can you make, however. It often resets to matte between cans.
New paint can identifying type of paint, metal rim around the top is Metallic color
Ok so the paint got made correctly. Thanks, didn't know about the can change.

But then why is my car matte?
The Bonphiac paint I believe is bugged on your version, try on different car (will be fixed next hotfix).
Alright, fair enough. Maybe it will work on my GTR, once i actually get some parts for it 😄
The car will be metallic after hotfix.
