hello is someone able to help me with an issue im having i seen on a steam patch note that is referring to a method in discord that might help i can copy and paste for reference but basically minor issue of the exhaust used to make a backfire popping sound when i played before and now its not doing that only the blue flash from the exhaust.

doing a quick test it doesn't seem that any of the stock exhausts back fire (sound) , it seems that to get that effect you need one of the modified exhausts 🙂

when the game first game out their was a popping or crackling effect along with the blue flash

The devs are trying to also have realism as well, so a stock vehicle wouldn't have backfire on a stock exhaust.

if you look at older videos you will see
with the V8 it added a special feel too it
the bonphiac, GTR, and golf had the special vfx sfx idk what youd call it
i still kinda get it with the GTR
like i said i know its still early access

I haven't looked at videos personally but it seems it might be a bug if deleting the config didn't fix it and myself and @regal flare both did a quick test and got the same result as you, with submitting a bug report it means the Dev team can have a look
