#Controls stuck on oculus
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I have the same problem, I play on htc vive and I can't get through the tutorial, I can't do anything
Glad im not the only one suffering lol
I was starting to think i was the only one with this glitch
Hey! I'm sorry about that. You're probably stuck when the game asks you to press "A" to continue. We have not had the time yet to double check the button mappings of the major SteamVR headsets. However I think you can try something out in the Controller Settings menu of SteamVR. While the game is running, open the SteamVR overlay and go in Controls. The select "Edit SteamVR Bindings" for the game. There you should be able to remap the buttons that are there by default. The Quest controller's "A" button let's you proceed through dialog windows and the "Y" button is the Hint Layer (which you should hold when using). If you remap those 2 buttons to some other Vive Touch input, I hope you'll then be able to play! 🤞
Let us know if it works!
I have tried configuring the steam inputs with no luck what so ever
i have also tried searching online to see if there was a solution
but once again no luck
Rebinding the controllers didn't work?! That's weird 🤔
We'll have to test more on the HTC Vive. The next Alpha should be smoother for you two.
Sorry about that!,
So far with rebinding i havent found anything that works
Im not entirely sure if rebinding doesnt work
i am also experiencing the same issue
NO WAY
okay i figured it out
after playing with the steam bindings, it actually works
start the game, go to steam vr settings, go to controllers, manage controller bindings, select "unity application" and in active controller select custom, select edit this binding, select "oculustouchcontroller" on top, bind the buttons however you want but you can use the "htcvivecontroller" window for reference (make sure to bind something to "primarybutton"), select poses in the bottom and set them like i did, and finally, in the top right options change your profile to oculus/touch_controller
That's great news! We'll definitely want to natively support the Vive in the future, but it's great that you were able to find a workaround for this open alpha!
where can i find the "oculustouchcontroller"
I had it up there
But what you have does look a bit different
Are you sure you are currently in the game?
Because on your screenshot it says that you’re in “vr dashboard” while if you were in the game it would say you’re in “unity application”
yes
At some point after selecting “edit this binding”, it should let you choose a program, at which point you should choose the game
Your a legend dude
