its not an bug its part of his quest you have to complete it to get him and his new evo item back
How to obtain Bounty Hunter (king of Hell)
Requirements
- Bounty Hunter from standard gem banners
- have him evolved into Bounty hunter (3 swords)
Questline guide
- Complete a boss bounty stage(the npc can be found at the play area) with Bounty Hunter (3 Swords) Equipped and placed. Once that is done Bounty Hunter should disappear from your inventory with a popup saying he got lost.
- Join Flower Country story map and look for Bounty Hunter which will be spawned in a random place around the map.
-# note : once he comes back he retains traits and stats.
