Elite conquest character card not working

Ragnar is not gaining any placements per elite kills

Obtain the "elite conquest" character card for ragnar
get to a Elite boss room
defeat said boss
hover over ragnar and see that his placement did not go up

notes :
at 0:02 you can see that i have elite conquest modifier
at 0:20 you can see that i hover over ragnar to see 6/6 placed
at 0:39 you can see that after killing the boss i still have 6/6 placements instead of 7 as said in the description of the "elite conquest" card
