The handcuff mechanic in Cid's raid ever since its addition to Solo runs has been one of the worst mechanics in game to ever see the light of day, it has no counterplay in solo runs and serves the one purpose of being annoying rather than a fun challenge to deal with. The only semi-justified reason for its existence back when the raid initially released was to help counter tiny-tasking the raid for birbs, which no longer flies for current AV given the fact the game practically has tiny-task built into it with auto-play.

This leaves handcuffs as a mechanic that isn't fun, drags down the raids enjoyability, and makes farming harder in an economy where gems are more important than ever, there is no reason to keep it around other than just to have it

I dont think it matters now that you can beat it in 20 seconds

son cid raid is powercrept do the handcuffs even matter

#

do the handcuffs even appear before you beat it nowadays

#

also before alucard hit Anime Vanguards i found the handcuffs to be pretty fun to work around, since i had to upgrade my farm and sasuke and then go into brooke while handcuffed

this would have been a good suggestion when the raid came out but its essentially worthless to worry about now. people only play cid raid for gems and can beat it in 40 secs anyways

^ addressing all the stuff above because basically all said the same thing

I get there are super fast run methods now that can basically ignore the mechanic all together, but you're each forgetting these are using very specific builds with heavily stacked loadouts, 1 of which being monarch on a unit that released 3 days ago. The majority of players don't have the new 20s run build, at absolute best, maybe 40% of players can use the 1 minute build with Sasuke, which if your timing is not PERFECT, the handcuff mechanic can still mess you up and drag your run out from 1 to 2 minutes, which yes does matter, that essentially halves your earnings.

Tldr, yes there are builds that can ignore it, but we can't really act as if every player can run that build, especially rn. The majority of players aren't going to be able to speedrun it like an endgame player can, I don't think we should just keep an objectively poorly designed mechanic in the game because the current top 15-20% don't have to deal with it, it does nothing for the game other than be an annoyance for no valid reason
