Actually very first time on that raid to have a bug like that

I have tried to repro this by picking both sphere modifier / other mods, it still doesn't work. I am able to save broly as expected

I did was like first restart the match and pick the 1 monarch thing and click auto play then boom

!!a Not a bug. You have to defeat the Friezo boss in order to receive the dragon ball. The boss summons in different areas in the track and doesn't spawn right from the Enemy spawn. This dungeon can't be played using "AutoPlay" feature as it requires you to place units near the Boss. It could still be AutoPlayed with units such as Koguro (Unsealed)
