Currently, elemental towers has great rewards and is pretty doable with most elements. I think most ppl would like to participate in the mode but its almost impossible to find ppl on the same floor as u.
so why not make it so when u matchmake with others
it would default to the player with the highest floors scaling
but would still give u the rewards of your floor
so u could matchmake with others but it isnt so abusable that u can just get the rewards for free
infact its an active nerf to yourself as scaling is higher
but also a buff since you can play with others
Example:
im on floor 5 while my teammate is on floor 10
it would become floor 10 scaling BUT he gets his 30 rrs while i get 20 rrs
would track progress respectively aswell(teammate would be on floor 11 and id be on floor 6)
Alternative:
picks the host scaling instead
players who are under progress normally aswell and get their respective lower rewards
while players higher than the host do not progress
this is just so carrying others is possible
Benefits:
- super easy to find ppl to play with
- not abusable or floor skipping
obv mainly used for those who are close
just isnt super worth for somebody on floor 10 to matchmake with somebody on floor 70 as scaling is too high(i dont acc know floor 70 scaling just assuming)
TLDR: Make Elemental Towers matchmaking scale to the highest floor in the group, but give each player rewards and progress based on their own floor. This lets players easily find teammates without making the mode abusable or allowing free floor skipping. An alternative is host-based scaling, where only players at or below the host’s floor progress, while those above dont progress, mainly just for carrying others without absurd scaling.
