No reason to keep buffing year old units, they all have good runs and stay meta for quite some time, thats enough. The quest vanguards will get VFs eventually probably, the limited vanguards can stay gone.

They've never said "vanguard units will always be meta", they're not getting buffed. "Just make them usable" doesn't work, maybe if the community didn't sob uncontrollably about gilgamesh VF for days it'd be something that could happen.

Pre 2.0 dev team wanted them to be cosmetic, post 2.0 only ever mentioned them being "usable"

There's no alternate for most units, and the units with potential double evos would have another 2 years before their chance came

honestly almost every vanguard still has uses no? 🤔
diavolo is used for lb , atleast this was the case last season
gogeta doesn't exist , we don't count him.
