Yeah, seasonal banner updates are limited time events just for the sake of raising the players base because of FOMO. Them being limited also causes them not to be innovative, it’s a simple formula repeated because it’s effective and becasuse eventually all that was added into the event will be thrown into a void once it ends. So now complaining about an update we know nothing about aside from its theme is pretty dumb, we don’t know what meaningful changes will it bring to the game. So let’s just not hop into conclusions and throw the word “slop” for something you don’t like/find boring.
