I like the how they did the Anniversary dungeon where they gatekept an easily 🥭 able stage behind a somewhat difficult stage. If they continued that progression model for the game that would be pretty cool.

Well the point is you’re playing it once to access the most efficient afk. So make a hard stage but make it so you only have to play it once to access the most efficient afk. These TD games are built on rate and chance and that makes AFK’ing an inevitability. Its kind of like Arknights where you need to beat a stage without a support character and without losing lives in order to AFK

Mmm I see what you’re saying, but for sure it’s healthier for the game state to not just have an event immediately have the most efficient AFK method accessible to all players. I think it’s just a matter of it feels more rewarding than just having the content spoon fed to you and then you just AFK. There’ll be some complainers, but that’s a necessary side effect. And nothing will ever be GG EX stage or AOT EX stage again so I don’t think too many people will complain
