Like how games such as BTD6 or Geometry Dash (only 2 i could think of rn) have levels you can play, in those games you can also create and share levels for the community to play. I think it would be a fun idea to be able to create a stage and edit the aspects of it like the enemies, amount of waves and map. This could serve as a challenge or way for people who have nothing else to do to enjoy the game further. You would need to select the units allowed or banned or just set units for anyone playing so that they can only use those units with that trait or have traits disabled. Obviously you would need to verify that the stage can actually be beaten with said units to submit for other people to play. For example, you create a stage that is Planet Namak, has 20 waves and the boss is Yhwach or something, then you set the loadout to an ethereal guts, marksman preistess and no trait farms and try to beat it. just a thought.
