There are two types of limited units that should be in the game:
The "trophy limited", which is a unit that delivers very limited gameplay value and is only desirable for collection purposes/cause you like the unit/has a nice cosmetic
And the limited units that offer something interesting, or at least hold a place in the meta (if not very high tier), so that even if someone doesn't like them as a unit they're obliged to try and get them due to their bonuses (think Oshi from AA before she became a banner unit)

AV doesn't have many good gameplay limited units, and the ones that are around are going to get powercrept quickly, and the VF's in their current state won't buff them back up to relevancy, so there's like 10 trophy limiteds for every 1 semi useful one
