by design shiny units are implemented for people who choose to invest materials to build the same unit with a different cosmetic
developers rely on systems like this to even keep their game afloat....

if you get a shiny that is rotting in your inventory you either build it or you don't it's genuinely that simple. in the current state of the game you can get monarch by just playing doing events daily and keeping up with the base level of the game

Also you're operating on the basis that shiny units are incredibly rare to get or something, they arent, this isnt AA. It's so easy to pull shinies now thanks to the 2x event and overpowered gem farming methods.

-I can spin on a normal escanor, and then get the shiny in 2-3 months and transfer the monarch
-I wont have to wait multiple months to use the unit just because i wanted the shiny
