There is absolutely no valid reason not to add Shiny Transfer into the game.
Every single argument I’ve seen against it has been either based on misinformation, flawed logic, or outright misunderstanding of what the feature actually is. And the lack of official explanation from the devs make ZERO sense.
Let’s be clear. This is not about combining two different characters into an overpowered hybrid.
We’re not asking for Shiny Gojo + Normal Sukuna = Shiny Sukuna.
We’re simply asking for Shiny Gojo + Normal Gojo = Shiny Gojo.
What Shiny Transfer Actually Does:
• Moves only the cosmetic (visual look) of a shiny unit to an identical normal unit.
• Does not transfer stats and/or traits.
• Keeps the grind and RNG element intact. the player MUST own both the shiny and the target unit.
Why Anti-Transfer Arguments Fall Apart:
The most common argument is: “It’s not fair to people who earned the shiny and built it up.”
That logic doesn’t hold up. If I already have a fully built Monarch unit and then pull its shiny version, it doesn’t devalue my grind, it enhances it. I still had to earn both through RNG and/or effort.
Trading already removes traits, so transferring a shiny cosmetic does not undermine the economy or progression. In fact, the person transferring actually loses more potential trade value than they gain, or they don’t lose anything at all if both units were planned to be traded away anyways.
The Benefits of Adding Shiny Transfer:
1. Promotes Player Engagement – Players will continue grinding for shinies knowing they can apply them to their best-built units.
2. Avoids Inventory Waste – No more sitting on unoptimized shinies or duplicating grind for the sake of cosmetics.
3. No Balance Risks – This doesn’t create stronger units; it only moves an appearance.
4. Prevents Frustrating Trades – Players won’t feel forced to trade away shinies.
