Eren's EX was specifically meant to be a super generous jump
i get your point, but i think the solution would be to give players accessibility to those boosted rewards without making it feel forced or to difficult. i feel like the aot ex stage failed because it pushed you into playing one very specific way, and the huge % increase on eren drop chance made the normal stage basically pointless to grind, and when people realized how hard it was without the aot units they got mad because they wanted to use their own units and strats.
the idea with this board isn’t to make stages ridiculously hard, but to let players play around with different modifiers, find team comps they have fun playing with, and still get rewarded for it. it’s more about adding replayability and small challenges, not punishing people.
obviously what i suggested is just a rough base and not fully balanced, but i think with the right tuning av could have a lot of replayability into the gameplay with a system like this
like i’ve said a a lot of times in this post, the point is that players could either pick a lot of easy modifiers or just a few hard ones, but at the end they’re choosing modifiers based on their strongest units (or units that counter those modifiers). it’s not about being forced to pick certain units because of the modifiers, it’s about using the units you already have that are strong against the modifiers you are selecting to play against
maybe yall wont add a system like this, but I hope devs find a way to increase the difficulty of the game and not make a lot of people mad because they cant handle it
I think the other problem is just.... AV doesn't have hard modifiers to deal with lmao
they can create a lot of creative ones tbh
The things that are hard are mutators, and they aren't designed to really be mixed too much, like the case for PvP death pushes
Sturdy so awful we couldn't even make it fit into PvP 
those can be added aswell, but when selected the bar would fill by a lot, so you dont have to also choose a bunch of modifiers
add love train to pvp for balancing
this will fix pvp
and also could add debuffs into the difficulty selector, like a stun that activates every 5 attacks
another one that could make all your units attack random enemies instead of the first one
disable certain passives
a modifier that disables all cleanses
devs could make all kinds of modifiers, and if some end up being too hard or not that fun, they could always adjust them or just rotate them out.
like, something like this could create a lot of different starts against different sets of modifiers/mutators
making people not just using their meta/monarch units and have a more diverse team
for example, nobody uses toji, but if you add the shields modifier then he can be useful, and since he bypases all shields you could add the max amount of them to the bar

also, since the bar would have a max, there’s no reason to stack every single modifier. you could try to play that way if you want the challenge, but it wouldn’t give you any extra rewards beyond the cap.

this is actually a very solid point
like when Monarch is the best trait
you know it will be Monarch or nothing
nobody wants to stick with Solar/Deadeye/Ethereal
but tbh, this game needs a challenge, not only situational stages where you need to use unit X
but a stage where you often need to use unit X,Y and Z
i feel like in AV if i got the recent monarch units the game will be easy to the point its boring
why cant u just cater to both

We need an actually stage where it is hard but optional. An end game mode where it is hard but optional yet rewarding.
Depends on developers how they can implement this mode. Since this is only a blueprint, they can polish this more. But yeah, i want this game mode. Mostly end game mode

Because it is incredibly hard to cater to both. Make the difference too small, and the players who can handle the optional difficulty will either feel the mode is too difficult for the boosted rewards, or that it's just pointless anyways. Make the difference too big, and you render the other content basically obsolete.
it's VERY hard to make optional content actually feel optional. Because players want to optimize their time spent. Their effort spent.
Optional content doesn't feel very optional when it is definitively the best way to grind

It goes one of two ways
And I think the players would generally agree that the first option is a worthy sacrifice to have an EX that's well worth grinding
Cause the difference in ex and regular stages is too high
Then what's the point of doing EX?
No reason for a 65 clear difference in ex stages for a unit

So then the other stages aren't worth doing
If EX is faster, then it's the one worth doing
Because they're actively testing things out to see what works well and what doesn't.
GG EX? bad design.
AoT EX? Better design, but still very clearly flawed
Berk EX? Much better design, actually worth playing, but not if players want to deal with traitless and a wormhole boss.
I think players will generally agree that the stages that reward them better are the ones worth playing and grinding regardless
Berserk is fine but it just makes the first 3 acts useless
There really isn't much a way to make them not useless outside of like... Taking out all the evo materials and just making EX better for Silly Fairy drop rates and that's it?
But even in that instance, it still leads to complaints. EX has all the materials for player convenience sake, and I'm fairly certain a majority of the playerbase prefer the convenience at the cost of the other 3 stages being less ideal to run instead of making EX just one familiar drop and that's it.

Which I think players prefer more. Out of all the “hard mode” stages, it’s probably the most well received

this suggestion isnt focused in the 70k active players that are grinding for their first evos/secrets/vanguards
this suggestion is for people like me which the only purpose in playing the game is giving devs money and time
bc me as a release player, got literally 0 content to spent time with

We need higher wave content
There’s just nothing interesting especially when over half of them are dictated through traits
Everything being 15-20 limits a lot
idk if higher wave is the answer tho, bc nobody wants to spend 30 minutes + at 50 waves

higher waves but they can obviously scale them faster
like dandadan rift ur sitting there for 45 seconds in wave 1 watching the enemies walk for 0 reason
the game is feeling like a simulator
you grind untill you catch up
so you start grinding for the next update
get everything from the update
then start grinding again waiting for a new update

they are in fact one of the coolest thing they did in a time
yeah
i feel like they could make more with Seasonal Events (Summer, Spring, Halloween, Winter)
but they are basically a different currency to get an 0.005% unit
every atd do it, but av could be different imo
bc they are selling their game as a high quality ATD anyway
