If the devs honored pity progress for Monarch trait rerolls, they should do the same for Kaguya. Both systems are RNG based with a hard pity cap. Many players have already passed that cap; to ignore it is not only unfair, it disrespects the time players invested in the game before the pity system was introduced. If data wasn’t lost for Monarch, then it wasn’t lost for Kaguya either. Restarting pity is them realizing their game is dying and wanting people to have that guaranteed hope of getting her with pity now and no matter how much I get that,this isn’t the way to go about it whatsoever especially when people who played enough are being punished by their incompetence and or ignorance

You can't save banner pity data if the data doesn't exist in the first place:
