Context:
Currently, there is a strict no-unban policy, even in cases of false positives (bot detection, lag-based bans, accidental triggers). While I understand the need to prevent abuse and maintain game integrity, I believe the current system can be overly punishing — especially for players who were banned unfairly or for minor, non-recurring issues.
Suggestion:
Introduce a controlled unban wave every 3-6 months, where selected cases can be reviewed and unbanned. This could be based on:
- Time since the ban (e.g., 3+ months)
- Player behavior/history before the ban
- Specific ban reasons (false positives, automation triggers, not toxicity/exploiting)
Benefits:
- Offers a chance for reformed or innocent players to return
- Reduces frustration from false bans
- Encourages better behavior among players hoping for a second chance
This could also be fully automated and reviewed by the bot/mod team to avoid overloading staff.
