This is not a urgent thing to worry about, yet will be important on a future trading place.
While trading will be used to some as a form of getting strong units, it will mostly be there for cosmetics since units will fall on meta one way or another. That being said, i do believe all secret+ rarity units should have a whole different cosmetic on they shiny variant, but that is not the reason for this suggestion.
Worldlines has indeed a whole leaderboard for players to compete against each other, in sorta of a way, and try to guarantee a shiny version of this gamemode's exclusive unit. And even with a leaderboard being a thing, all (except for frieren) worldline units doesnt have a shiny variant cosmetic, it is the same as a non shiny. For a future trading update, would be wise to rework all their shiny cosmetics and add different things, as a good example of what could work well is Ragna's shiny cosmetic, he has that thing on its back and it fits really well, it feels worth going for his shiny.
There is not really a reason to go for a shiny worldline unit when it changes close to nothing, that is my point.
