Just read the whole thread and I whole heartly agree, there should be atleast a soft pity so the grind isnt pointless at all. Especially for an almost required unit for any future LB players or extremely difficult events in the future. As he's the only 1 placement unit in the game and we have no other unit like him that can scale to his damage besides SJW vanguard. If there is no soft pity I feel like its better to just add trading already so the people who want value out of unit can have the satisfaction of it and those who dont have it but are willing to offer old units (haruka rin and etc) can trade and guarantee them.

Looking back, the arguments I got into in this thread were pretty stupid.

Sometimes, opponents of the suggestion would give dismissive, even insulting responses. On top of that, they would strawman and misrepresent my argument by making up stuff that I didn't say (i.e "you just want the game to be ez cuz u suck") and repeat arguments that i've already dealt with ad nauseum. Leading to my fatigue and emotional outbursts, which caused me to act irrational and give not-so good points in the heat of the moment. It was more about getting under my skin than arguing against soft pity. And I took the bait.

I just think its gonna be either or, add trading so the people who say those things can finally have a trading economy to dominate in or add a soft pity so the unit is a bit more accessible to everyone while keeping the rarity it has

I hope it's a bit of both. I personally don't like trading or limiteds, but I know that it's coming and intended. In light of that I made a suggestion on how the developers can handle trading (the thread exploded, i'm still fatigued from it). A healthy and fair trading economy paired with a weak soft pity would sit right with me. If it's both, then limited vanguards may have to stay for a shorter period (gogeta was here for 3 months I think...)

Either way the more people who macorni and the more people who say ez i got him x early are only driving the units value down, more copies = less value, but if its the case for future vanguards that have that soft pity diavolo and gogeta would still keep that rarity (since they didnt have soft pity the amount of gogetas and diavolos there are would be a small to medium amount while if the soft pity was a thing the unit range would be around medium)

but judging from all that they still wont be worth shiny broly

you can't add a pity for a vanguard or a secret while keeping them rare btw, they give u months to get gogeta, months to get diavolo, and if u can't get them in the huge amount of time ur given.. I believe that's just an issue on ur part

Would make it too easy to get and ruin its value. If it isn’t hard to get, why make it even easier? It’s still a vanguard unit/secret unit, which are the highest rarity units in game. So they should have some type of exclusivity to them.
