  • Windstorm weather continuously raises the speed of enemies when restarting the level.
  • SBR consistently spawns you on the act 1-3 side even when facing Valentine who is a Act 4 boss,
    (Therefore losing out on 2 steel ball spawns)
  • Raid maps have 20 waves instead of 15 in worldlines,
    (although it isn't stated this cannot happen, it seems weird that they're the only outliers)
  • Due to the aforementioned increased number of waves, the scaling on these raid maps gets ridiculous at absurdly low floors, just to dramatically fall off again in the next room
    (Worldlines is advertised as verbatim a "Battle through infinite rooms" game mode, yet there seems to be an issue where developers don't want it to be infinite..?)
  • Last season, 19 Players total passed floor 60, which was an SBR map.
    (12 or so of the 19 players took advantage of a bug that allowed weathers to stack making the stage infinitely easier, however this was patched making the stage impossible again until the release of Gogeta.)

Why make an infinite game mode then refuse to let 99.99% of the player base get even 10 levels past the supposed "apex" which is floor 50, last season the highest non bugged player on the leaderboard was stuck on floor 68 😭 , what is so infinite about this game mode. Don't create a competitive leaderboard to then appeal to the non-competitive players.

my suggestions are

  1. remove the raid maps from the possible floor pool in general

  1. keep their increased scaling, but make them 15 waves just like the other stages, to keep this sort of "boss room" that pyseph wants it to be

  1. rescript these maps entirely to actually check if you're in a raid before setting it to 15 waves and default scaling (portals, worldlines) or 20 waves and increased scaling (an actual raid)
#
  1. Remove infinite convergence in general. If you think that an infinite game mode shouldn't have an infinite exponential increase and instead should just be sudden insane increases in difficulty, then you clearly shouldn't be creating a game mode of the sorts. Not to mention that sudden difficult stages lead to the leaderboards being pure RNG in terms of placement order because hundreds of people will be stuck on the same floor after breezing through the previous 10.

  2. Don't half ass a competitive game mode and pass off bugs as intended features then deny plausibility because you yourself don't find your own game fun.

they said that they wanted to remove sbr/raid maps from worldlines this whole while, but if really necessary it could be kept as a hard-blocker to prevent ppl from going to floor 500+ and whatnot

which i interpreted it as "we should keep sbr maps because they act as hard-blockers/ "boss rooms" (as you mentioned)"

realizing this now though ill remove raid maps from the pool & reset worldlines for this season

& look into the windstorm issue

I can't recreate it on floor 60 with windstorm, but it was happening on floor 55 on the SBR map with the Mike boss, if it's possible to recreate those conditions.
