Yes pls ask this issue needs to be clarified because there is a very high likelihood that potions affected both secret and vanguard rarities but that can’t be confirmed if the devs stay silent

Hi, mind if I ask you 2 questions about this thread?

1. Can you share with us the details of what exactly was fixed with the luck potion’s interaction with the event banners / secrets on the regular banner? What rarities was it blocking besides secret skins?
2. Why was it not posted in the update logs after it was fixed? I have seen much less significant updates being posted there so it makes no sense that something that affected thousands of players would not get posted there.

yah ofc--the issue was with our chance adjustment code; it didnt take into account for secrets and vanguards when you had a luck multiplier of above 1 (i.e. when using lucky pots), and incorrectly lowered both chances to significantly lower values than what it shouldve been. as far as i can understand, this only happened for a few days, and was fixed immediately as we became aware of it. it wasnt mentioned in update logs as we usually just dont mention single, one-off bug fixes. this has been the case for a lot of other bugs that we fix over time; usually we only mention bugs that were very user-facing and easy to notice/many people were affect by.

First of all thanks, from what you explain it did block chances of both secrets and vanguards. To your second point - it was most definitely not a couple of days issue, this bug existed at least since introducing the craftable luck potion in the fate update. You can check on my account if you want reference, and there are a lot of other people that can attest to that.
As for not mentioning it in the patch- I understand that there are bugs that are being constantly fixed and some don’t have enough significance to be addressed to the public. This case however affected many people and I think the least you guys can do is to let them know that for a month (maybe more, did not use the paid luck potion) they had no chance at getting the chase banner units.

Luck potion does not affect vanguard and secret rates. From my experience it does affect mythics and exclusive rates. But can be corrected if I assume wrongly

i think u have better chances if u roll more, like, for example 1% chance ragnaw portal is like 1 in 100, but only if u do 100 followed by one another, not 1 at a time stopping in the middle, that would kind of break the "Pity" So running 1 million has a much better chance of RNG giving you Vanguard than 100k (is kinda obvious)
