Consider an IRL example. You're a police officer. There is an armed crowd that is hellbent on killing the Governor of the State. You are aware of their presence, and they know that what theyre doing is illegal and punishable by death. In that case, ROE allows you to SHOOT TO KILL.

Revs are armed, they are dangerous, they are after YOU. Anyone who does not accept a mindshield in that situation is going against an order and should die. Zero questions asked. Non-lethal tactics are available, yes, but that does not work when it is a crowd and it is late game. Someone who wasn't a rev got gunned down because they were in a crowd or department of Revs? Tough luck, at some point you should of realized that youre with a bunch of terrorists.

Stop noting and banning people for garbage, its hurting players and killing the game mode.

refusal of mental shielding is 5th degree and i think can be used as probable cause to kill someone in a situation like this

anyway this idea is not good imo because it's a roleplay game; sec magdump killing everyone instantly is boring, if they are in the middle of a firefight you won't get noted or banned for shooting them so this only affects finding alone people you could safely stun and take in if they refuse

if they are armed and dangerous, you can already use lethal force

I do agree if you can take someone alive you should, as that gets you another fighter but at some point the whole "martial law" thing should be enforced and you MUST get mindshielded at sec or face consequences

I mean this is slightly different than ice, if people are in groups (during confirmed revs and they aren't mindshielded) and move towards you then you should be able to fire one lethal shot

and if they don't stop then fire more

I heard from staff that if they refuse mindshield then you can stun and if they run you can usually lethal them because that's like treason or smth (I think I also heard if they even refuse MS during revs and red alert then it's just insta crit)

I think it largely comes down to admins just not thinking about how they would react on thr situation like yeah there's a dude who just got sec gear and is now stabbing the CMO im gonna shoot him

If that situation happens in a station condition where there are already confirmed revs that are armed and someone says No, i can assume they are a revolutionary and will become a problem if left unchecked, therefore I should be able to gun him down if he runs or resists

I dont like killing people as Sec but with revs its 100% warranted and also we have brigmed so hes not dead forever

Plus I've played Revs where there was no ROE and it works fine

if you see a group you KNOW are revs, you gotta suck it up and ask them "want a mindshield" and then get beaten to a pulp by 4 hidden bats.

We should allow the captain to force people into their departments and anybody out is allowed to be arrested/killed
