Contractors and ProgTot are different things
Contractors get TC only from kidnappings while ProgTot gets smaller amounts of TC, but also Rep to get better missions that pay more and eventually get a Final Objectives which is an automatic win

So if I am robust enough i can be a basicly dagd traitor with a lot of extra tc, round ending and do that EVERY time i am traitor?
I’ve done it on TG and most of the side objectives you have to do are VERY hard to do because they are very loud
These include:
-Triangulate a weak spot on the station and blow it up (scan 2 spots, gives you a location for you to place a bomb)
-Perform a Sleeper agent surgery(Put an illegal data disk into a surgical computer to do it)
-Call in another threat at a comms console(AI is alerted to this)
-Steal a nuclear core from a onsite explosive(AI will be a bitch and snitch on you)
-Plant a bug on a high value item(“Hey captain can I borrow your laser gun for a second”)
And more
Most of the low tier ones are pretty tame but unrewarding though
-Rough someone up(hey punch that dude 3 times lol”)
-Steal someone’s heirloom
-Steal mail
-Kill a head of staff pet
The objectives all sound maybe challanging but not impossible or too hard. (The very hard ones). Atleast 3 or 4 of them i would know how to do without spending any tc and just being a tider. It is a fun mechanic but I would not recommend a mechanic that mainly benefits more experinced players and gives them a huge boost while leaving new and less experinced people out.
Maybe make it so you can accept extra missions (alone that would be a huge addition even without any rewards since sometimes you get chud objectives or you are already done with your own and just want some more and new tasks) which give you cosmetics or useless syndicate items as reward and obviously the new objectives will never be a murder (teach a lesson you have to do the same as murder but without rr) or dagd objective
High objectives give like 3 tc and 80 Rep total (in TG economy you start with 20 tc)
Also I should mention that the Final objectives in themselves are hard to do as a lot of them instantly announce your full name and address and what you’re doing
-Calling a Syndicate Battlecruiser(Nukies But Stronger) requires you to have a special emag given to you be used for 60 seconds on a comms console
-Zombie outbreak only gives you a vial of romerol, good luck
-Black Hole Beacon is announced as soon as you place it so you have to defend the SHIT outta that thang
-Supermatter Shard is fukin easy lol just wear mag boots and a suit and put the shard on and watch it cause a resonance cascade
-Malf AI code is also fucking easy but also fucking lame
-And so is just turning into a space Dragon
So 15 Tc on goob. Again it sounds fun but this mechanic only benefits experinced players the most
- The comms console one is as easy as stealing a coms console board and hiding out inside a hideout surrounded by walls
- the zombie one… xenobio

- the singularity one is also relativly easy depending how it is announced. At the moment is just announces the nearest beacon so just change the name of the nearest beacon to another department, activate it and change it back quickly, then wall yourself in with it.

-true that would make it fair and hard (except you fortnite hard and make a like 4 tiles thick reinforced wall barrier
My first time trying the comms console I had to weld through the captains walls, welded in the wrong place, got snitched on by the AI since all TG AI players are sent from hell itself and an engineer shot me in the face with a rebar crossbow cause he heard the news and was in the area
So you just needed a bit more experince and anyway on goob the AI is mostly busy with an tider or unEAing doors and such. Goob AIs are often different to TG ones plus AI cameras are easier to break than a piece of glass.
What might work on TG works differently at goob
Yeah they got tile movement I can never go back to that
Point is on paper it sounds easy and in practice it’s hard
That or I’m just super fucking unlucky which is also in the realm of possibility
I would be lying if I said it was just as super easy as on paper but there are robust enough people to do it reliably and with a stack of steel and a toolbelt you can do A LOT

I’m gonna be real, I would love it if it gave more TC, especially with some of the higher level objectives.
I wish I could find a list of the objectives and their payout but they removed ProgTot because they’re allergic to fun
