main issue with zeds is that the infection timer moving up for everyone basically means if you get bit you're infected and turning in less than a minute which makes it really easy to spiral out of control and you basically can't do anything besides call evac ASAP so the round ends
Easiest way IMO to make it not dumb is making initial infected infections still take the shortened infection time (to prevent indefinite stalling via dylo) and then make all infections besides that take the old amount of time (so as to prevent the infinite steamroll)
also I kinda like how zeds just spiral out of control really fast sometimes, makes it a big W if you survive the round (but if you do get infected early then yeah you just walk around and die to grate sometimes)
just IMO at least
or just be IPC 🙂
