Forgot to configure Radmin in the Firewall?

Configure Radmin in settings to 'Allow All Apps' in the Firewall.

#
Using a VPN but getting an error about opening ports when trying to host a raid?

Read our wiki page for more information.

#

you've done both of those?

hexed python
#

I have

DOne a little more testing

I can join my friends raids, but he cannot join mine

#

Have you set your "Force IP" and "Force Bind IP" to your VPN IP-address?

#

It should be set to your own VPN IP, not your friends.

hexed python
#

I have done this too

lofty orchid
#

Well let's see some screens of all your settings, IPS, player.log etc

hexed python
#

I have attached the fjson, playerlog and image of the f12 config settings used

#

I have not changed any other setting only what was shown in the FaQ

So far joining my friend still works if they host a raid

So it's working ish

unreal zephyr
#

I'm seeing a IP range from what appears to be a private IP range that is not associated with radmin - If you are attempting to use a VPN all parties need to be part of the VPN for clarification

hexed python
#

both connected
he is offline rn though

#

I mean
for the time being, joining his raid works so that's chill lol

unreal zephyr
# hexed python

When he gets back on can you try hitting the restore to default/reset button and typing the IP back in just to eliminate the small chance there is a white space character there

unreal zephyr
#

the only other workaround I can think of to try would be to temporarily try disabling both firewalls to rule out the firewall blocking it - Would not recommend leaving it disabled

#

If it for works after that then it would be a firewall rule issue somehow even though the automatic installer does create those rules

#

I am glad its working on their end though

hexed python
#

I have checked my firewall settings and they are all there my end not sure about his

unreal zephyr
#

Unless you did a manual install by chance?

hexed python
#

both used installer

unreal zephyr
#

Yep that would be the other troubleshooting step I would try if the reset and re-entering the IP doesn't work

#

There are no other VPNs being used on your end right?

hexed python
#

No only radmin

#

I would port forward but turns out the port 6969 refuses to open which is annoying so VPN it is

#

Again
it does working joining him
once back I'll give a report on findings or if anything changes

unreal zephyr
#

Did you try to port forward the UDP 25565 by any chance before? Do you know if its still on/active?

hexed python
#

It is still active yes and open

unreal zephyr
#

So if you can - Try disabling that port forward (assuming you do not have another service using it) and then try the VPN route

#

Theres a possibility the port forward is interfering with the VPN's ability to use that port

hexed python
#

Alright,
i'll give these all a go and see what I can get working when they return

unreal zephyr
#

Feel free to ping me with an update if you manage to get it working I always try to remember solutions

hexed python
#

Cool, I'll keep you posted

unreal zephyr
#

I'm thinking it may indeed be the port forward if its still open/active/on

#

But I'm not 100% sure if the VPN would have a port conflict or not so you'll be testing that theory

hexed python
#
  1. The firewall changes did not apply on his side/ a re-install has fixed this.

  2. I have disabled the port for SPT in port forwarding settings to see if there are any conflicts

Both unfortunately have not fixed the issue

I can still join his raid no issues

He still has the same issues joining me

can you post a Player.log from your friend during an instance where they are not able to join your hosted raid? would love to see which IP they are trying to join, because the Player.log above seems to indicate that whomever that log belongs to is joining over LAN (192.168.x.x) and Force IP / Force Bind IP have not been filled out by whomever is hosting that raid.

#

(crossed out public IP)

#

public IP would only show up there if Force IP is blank from whoever clicked HOST RAID

hexed python
#

Odd
That log was mine with me hosting and him joining my forcedIP is set

#

ingame config here

wicked fossil
#
  1. that log is from someone joining two raids, not from someone hosting
  2. whomever was hosting did not have Force IP filled out

let's try to recreate it and post a new Player.log from each of you

when you followed this screenshot #1430768447268061326 message, did it allow you to click Allow All? was there some other text there instead?

hexed python

both have yh

wicked fossil
#

try changing your UDP Port to something else, restart both clients, and try again. something random >30000, like 37373

#

in F12 - Fika.Core - Network settings

hexed python
#

This was it!

#

This makes perfect sense!
I have hosted MC servers before Which uses the same port

#

So the conflict must've been there

Thank you

wicked fossil
#

glad it works! feel free to use /resolve whenever you're ready

happy raiding!
