There is a SAIN Version for 3.11 on the SPT Discord. It is working pretty well if you remove the NoBossPMCs Mod. I am currently using it till RC3 gets released.

and they want to make it two times a month meet so im convinced that there are weirdos
those people have their only KPIs to report on other people's KPIs, it's turtles all the way up

i heard other people prefer moar that has been updated to 3.11 but personally i did not try it
I've been using acids and having a blast with my buddy. We did have to edit the spawn waves for both pmc and scavs to get it more in line with our likings. But great mod and easy to configure.
personally i like to set as starting pmcs and some scav waves, essencially have PVP live like experiance
and use APBS turned off progression

Why is everyone wanting to use a broken "repo" of Sain, let alone not just using the search function built into discord

Cause that broken repo of sain sadly for now is better at combat and more diverse than Spocks. And dont get me wrong im eagerly waiting for Ping in here for either RC3 or RC4 which ever comes out first 🙂 Shit if i could id like to see Spocks AI vs SAINs AI for shiz n gigles 🙂
if both would be "BigBrain" compatible I could imagine another mod for BigBrain which checks the different AI mods and is assigning different AIs to different bots... at least thinkable 😄
combined with a spawn mod where you can spawn bots "at your own will" could be a funny factory run
i thought that sain is "layer" thing so its compatible with bigbrain and even had it as pre-requisit. This one completely replaces layering system hence incompatability.

waypoints yes, as waypoints is independent of big brain
with bigbrain mods: no in terms of "the bigbrain mods will simply never used on bots" (looting bots, questing bots, SAIN)
so you should use the one XOR the other

i've had all of them caused no issues atleast in consoles, had some good fights, but dont know if big brain and looting bots had any influence on them

Considering the repo's ai doesn't fight each other at all, I think spock would win currently but
. Spocks working his own magic and I appreciate someone else stepping up this plate. Can't image the hoops involved that spock and even solar has had to go through for years. Props to them both! I think RC3 is very close though

so, out of curiosity I just built Spock's newest commit to see how things are going. Gotta say it's soooooooo good, bots are moving, fighting, taking cover, reinforce their squad, and more.
not sure if he's using his own nav mesh and skip Waypoint completely or not. Can't really tell.
as per my understanding skips waypoints from waypoints mod
and is complete stand alone mod
it seemed like they're having some troubles with the sniper on the roof of Custom
they can see where the shots are coming from but they won't shoot back
I left it in my load order and so far it hasn't break anything, let's see
no Bepinex meny or cfg file atm tho
not a huge issue since i think alot of people are running headless anyways
not that difficult imo
gonna try it out with friends later

ah, my biggest issue was with this mod bots not moving, and doing fuck all if you hit them from 200m+ away, SAIN atleast tries to fight back even 400m away

My biggest thing with the mods is how much the bots move that’s all I want
I haven’t play long enough but the bots seem to move around with some purpose now. Except for the Goons and Partizan
Interesting, goons and Partizan just be weird anyway
But there were fights right off the bat so that’s great
I think when spock updates us I’m sure he’ll let us know if to remove other brain mods or if there’s functionality in there for the handling of them

something you guys dont seem to understand is that this mod is a standalone full replacement for the AI system and has 0 compatibility with any other ai mods

when the authors intention is to be standalone and a new system entirely.

if it was ready to be used it would have been a release
God forbid people are eager to iron out issues. If the code is open source and they know how to compile, let them try to help. I know if I knew how to compile the source into a usable DLL I'd have done so by now, out of curiosity at the least
As a developer, if I'm actively working on a release, and haven't pushed a build out for testing, I don't expect or want people testing it. I know it has bugs, I know what those bugs generally are, otherwise it would be released
"I know it's not ready, but I built it anyways, and here's a bunch of broken things" is how you chase off developers, it's called impatience, and nobody likes it
Considering this particular bug is basically game-breaking and have persisted through multiple commits I think it warrants a warning at least. I have no idea how Spock is testing his mod now that other people have reported the same bug. Basically this bug stops the mod from working at all.
Appreciate the input from an actual dev. Double edged sword ideology here but, if code is open source some people will still do this. To me, it means they are excite and share passion for the project. Not neccesarilly something to be discouraged.
imo, and take this with a grain of salt, i think it's fine to talk amongst ourselves about in-progress mods or bugs we've noticed, but to DM or @ a dev when they haven't released anything else is crossing a line
yall just gotta accept you aren’t right, don’t compile code and then report bugs ever for any project unless asked.
especially bugs like this will almost certainly get fixed by release and might even just be some debug code or smth

we are all grown i think we can contain our excitement and allow the developer to release a version he is happy with before reporting bugs.
Play with open source code all you want, but reporting bugs on an unfinished build is annoying full stop.

While I'm sure you are joking actively saying a dev built a bug and left into a build they didn't release and someone complied from the source is wild.
For everyone else this is a thread for the mod its not a place to start random rumors so lets try to keep it on page with the mod and not start rumors. You all have already seen the commits and they are working on it the only option is to wait fo the mod if you have the knowledge/skills to build the mod then thats fine no one can stop you from doing it just don't bother reporting bugs/issues with a incomplete build directly to the mod author. If you want to help you could instead ask them if they are interested in having anyone test the mod in its current form.

Was definetly joking and trying to make light. Not trying to put down Spock or his work in any way, quite the opposite. I'm ecstatic to have another AI option being cooked up alongside a SAIN fork. The config file is a huge selling point as the rc2 was awesome but couldn't be tweaked.
Question for @stray cave If this new AI is fully replacing the existing AI, I’m curious how hard you think developing AI for new games would be? What you’ve done so far seems pretty solid, and a lot of games have awful AI - curious if AI dev is a path you are interested in going down outside of this mod?

Trying to install RC2 would like to try it. After installing getting error on log mentioning missing .json file.

yeah, the dll should go into bepinex/plugins/AI-Refactored as it's stated in the zip structure
basically you can just unzip it into the SPT directory
but as the mod itself doesn't need any json for configs I highly think your error is coming from somewhere else

Probably another mod conflict maybe, RC2 is very drop and play. Anything that alters brains in tarkov will cause an issue most likely
