Client server
Host server with ip scratched out]
but ips are different whether thats important or not
why is the client running the server?
uh
ive always done that on startup
i thought you had to
it hasnt affected it before lmao
well, i'm not saying it's related to your current issue, but it's indicative of the networking portion maybe being a bit misunderstood. one server to server many clients. from the looks of it you are both connecting to the server host's server, thus the client's server is doing nothing.
yeah i most definitely am doing that
wild
i understood the idea that it wasnt doing much
i just kind of accepted that there was something going on that i didnt understand and blindly followed
i havent' looked at logs & i am headed to bed, but i'd say double-double check your double-check of the IPs having changed. i assume you are running the spt server on your gaming pc, yeah? so presumably since that port forward is working the one for 25565/udp (for raids) should. make sure all your settings in fika - network in your F12 menu are default. no upnp, no force ip, etc.
yeah no changed nothing
ive just had it open for no reason but it isnt causing current issue
lemme check around now
so
- All settings are the same
- no upnp no force ip
- the 25565 port has been working fine and im pretty sure weve looked for everything being the same and so far it has
i am left hoping that someone else (like @hard lily perhaps :D) comes in to help with this one as i am signing off. only other trick i have is to close the tarkov client of whomever is clicking host raid, delete any and all windows firewall rules that have anything to do with escapefromtarkov.exe, and then try to host a raid again. it should pop up that windows firewall dialog asking to Allow the incoming connection, make sure both Private & Public are checked and click Allow.
best of luck!
alright so first of all thank you very much for your help, its kind of resolved itself? for troubleshooting for other people, we went back onto the isp, deleted the tcp and udp rules, redid them, and now works. However, we redid them earlier, and it didnt work, so thats the 2nd time
and then it just works
ive no idea
im just thankful
