This one is mine
This one is my friends
Mello_N_Jello is my friend if im not available to reply in the given time.
You need to choose one person in your group to run the server. Only that person edits http.json, and only that person runs SPT.Server.exe.
Everyone sets the IP in their launcher settings to that person's VPN IP.
The setup above looks like you didn't follow https://discord.com/channels/1202292159366037545/1260629721176346724 correctly. One person follows the HOSTING section, everyone including that person follows the JOINING section.
ahh so the issue might be me changing the http.json as well
would the original json be my ip?
the original IP would be 127.0.0.1 for both
but you don't need to change it back
that wouldhv been the only issue if it was one that couldhv been. otherwise i followed every other step
The error showing on your screen means the launcher was not able to connect to the IP entered on port 6969.
As sptlaggy said only one person will be hosting the server and all other clients will be connecting to that single IP where the server is running. If all clients run the server and connect to it then they are all on their own servers by themselves which is why there has to be one person running a central server for all others to connect to.
Pick one user and that will be the host who runs the server all other users will then enter the server host's radmin IP address into the launcher and connect to that one server. The person running the server will need to confirm they are connecting by watching the server window/console where their IPs will appear and requests for files/profiles will be appear.
If you do the above and cannot connect then either radmin's firewall hasn't been setup correctly -
or windows firewall is still blocking the connection and you'll need to run this on all computers if the windows firewall is blocking (you'll fail to connect)
Having issues with your Windows Firewall?
Run the firewall fixer to avoid having to manually configure it.
When running the firewall tool ensure you place it into your SPT/FIKA directory prior to running the program. Option 1 will create firewall rules for the windows firewall.
@slim anchor
honestly i have no idea the issue, did a fresh install and followed the Fika using VPN setup guide, my friend did as well. and no luck
ok so instead of putting in the radmin vpn for the one on step 9 i put the hosts ip and it work, so i guess resolved?
